Having seen the first games in this group, everyone would suppose, that Ghana wins easily against Australia, which performed very weak against Germany. However, Ghana seemed not in form. We did not see the same offensive power as Ghana was able to deliver against Serbia. And Australia surprised with intelligent football. As a result, already in the 11th minute Bret Holman was able to score the first goal for Austriala. What a pitty, in the 25th minute Kewell stoped a ball with his right arm: Penalty for Ghana. Gyan did not waste this chance and equalized the result. Even playing with 10 players, Australia was the more dangerous team during the other 65 minutes. Ghana started some nice atacks, but didn't really manage to get close to the Australian goal. I guess Australias reaction came too late. With only one point against 3 of Serbia and Germany and even 4 of the team from Ghana, it will be very difficult for Australia to be qualified for the round of 16. A victory is a must in the next game against Serbia. On the contrary, the situation for Ghana is a lot brighter!
